My approach starts with diagnosis. Before designing anything, I try to understand the full shape of a problem, because the most visible pain points are often symptoms of something upstream. That instinct shapes how I work: mapping all the moving parts first, building with the people doing the work rather than handing solutions down to them, and closing the loop after delivery with the kind of structured retrospective that turns a one-time fix into a lasting improvement.
My focus is how automation and AI can enhance (not replace) human decision-making. I combine a strong foundation in financial governance with hands-on experience in automation, no-code tooling, and process optimization to ensure that systems run accurately, transparently, and in alignment with business goals. And when resources or conditions aren't ideal, I adapt: redesigning policy instead of waiting on engineering, building clean manual processes where automation isn't yet possible, solving within real constraints rather than hypothetical ones.
The CPA and PMP credentials aren't separate tracks. The CPA sharpens my reflex around controls, data integrity, and risk. The PMP formalizes the other side: how to scope work clearly, manage dependencies, and communicate across stakeholders with very different contexts. In practice, they're the same job done well. From audit experience to building high-performing teams within Toronto's startup ecosystem, I've learned that operational excellence depends as much on empathy and shared ownership as on data and controls.
